Chili



Ingredients:

1lb ground beef

1 large onion

2-3 stalks celery

3 cloves garlic

1/2 cup raisins

1 lemon, divided

1 can kidney beans

1 can baked beans

1 large can chopped tomatoes

small can tomato paste

1tsp oregano

1.5tbsp chili powder

1tbsp cumin

1 cup red wine

3 pieces dark chocolate


Directions:

1. Boil enough water to pour over raisins. Squeeze in half a lemon.


2. Brown the ground beef.


3. Separately brown onion and celery. When almost done add garlic.


4. Add the finished onion mix to the ground beef.


5. Drain and rinse kidney beans, add to pot.


6. Add baked beans or other beans of choice.


7. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, chili powder, cumin, wine, and raisins.


8. Simmer 40 minutes.


9. 10 minutes before ready add chocolate and other half of lemon.


10. Freeze leftovers in large ziplock bags.
